Make a T-Shirt Your Ticket To The Stage

A classic Rolling Stones t-shirt is one example of a band tee that will never go out of style. The open mouth and thrashing tongue instantly bring to mind the Stones, and images of classic concerts and bad-ass attitude.

Like in the 70s and 80s, t-shirts with fun and quirky phrases, cartoons, or band logos have popped up everywhere. One of the easiest ways to dress it up and look totally rock star is to wear your favorite witty tee, a pair of jeans that say "so what", and a fitted vest. The vest ties it all together and adds a bit of business class to a casual look. Throw on some chunky jewelry (an assortment of bracelets, big hoops, or a long necklace), mess up your hair, and instantly feel like your about to rock out on stage with your favorite band.

If you've scoured every retail store and can't find anything unique, witty, or to your liking... why don't you just create your own? Seriously. The website threadless.com features designs done by average people, and anyone can submit their ideas. You can find some really unique and interesting shirts here, and you get to vote for which ones you want to get created.

Carrie Underwood wears a similar look in her video for Before He Cheats.

Justice's video for D.A.N.C.E. features just how cool a t-shirt can be, and it was even nominated for an MTV Award for Best Video:

Where Can You Find It?
My favorite place to buy fun and quirky t-shirts is dELiAs. They have a wide range in their store, the tees are always buy one get the second half-off, and they usually get new ones in every week. Also, don't forget to check out threadless.com, it's deliciously addicting.
